I've just got Photoshop CS4. A lot of improvements over SC3. The biggest and best improvement is the "ghost" preview. Now, after you have sampled the spot you want to transfer to another part of the image, there is no more guessing about where exactly to drop it and whether the lines will match up. They now have a floating ghost preview inside the stamp as you move it across the image! This means that you can see exactly where and how it will be placed before you click the mouse. This saves countless hours in the long run by not having to undo and redo over and over until you get the placement just right. nother big improvement is that they have decreased the tool's tendency to replicate itself again and again and make a smudgy mess. You can now go back over the same spot over and over and it will not start to duplicate itself. This is especially helpful when it comes to the smaller sized stamps which in CS3 had a tendency to self-replicate if painted back and forth too many times.

Designed logo for Analog Angel, a synth pop band from Glasgow Scotland. Their music can be compared to Depeche Mode, The Cure and Gary Numan who will probably be involved in the studio working on Analog Angel's debut album. Check out Analog Angel demo tracks at http://www.analog-angel.com

I just finished designing a few flyers for Analog Angel's live shows including show at The Box - May 17th, Pivo Pivo - May 19th and Cosmopol - June 13th (all in Glasgow Scotland). More artwork for Analog Angel coming soon.

Check this very rare music video from early 90's by Analog Angel (back in the day they were known as Dr. Strangelove). It was converted from VHS by Robert Marshall a few months before John, Robert and Derek went back to studio recording new material for their upcoming album which will be released later this year.

I'm trying to reactivate with my friend from Poland our old PC demo-group Hellcore and release comeback demo at Riverwash 2009 in Warsaw Poland @ club No Mercy. The group was active in mid to late 90's thanks to founder/programer Marcin Rociek aka MRock. More info to come...

Check my friend's show called OperaRisque' The Angels which was performed on 9th & 42nd st in New York City. It's a dramatic story of forbidden love between an angel of light and an angel of darkness. When discovered, the lovers are cast down to earth where their souls must conquer their human desires in order to find each other. The story starts in 1780 and spans several lifetimes and sins through both 1880 and 1980. I contributed some artwork for the show and I will probably be working on the projections / background animations for the upcoming show in NYC this summer. http://operarisque.com

Layout redesigned. I've decided to simplify a few things around my webpage. Less is more, right?

I've just seen a small preview of Photoshop CS5 and I was blown away with the improvements of the Patch Tool. However, CS4 was released not that long ago but now we have a preview of PSD CS5. At this point, I believe that Adobe could include some of the improvements from CS5 in CS4. Lets face it, it's all about money.

November 28, 2010

It's been a long time since my last post. I continued designing for Analog Angel. I did some flyer as well as poster for Rammy of the Universe, an official Depeche Mode pre show and after show party organized by The Kilts and Analog Angel in Glasgow, Scotland December 11 & December 12, 2009. I also designed a layout for The Prodigy (UK) official web page. Other freelance projects I did were a few web pages including Ferrari Owners Club Northeast region, Ferrari Hamptons Rally invitation page, web page for The Loveliers (I will talk more about them soon) which I'm planning to redesign soon, web page for Hair and Makeup artist Magdalena Kolodziej and some other web pages, posters, flyers, album covers etc.

November 30, 2010

Around 6 months ago I joined forces with The Loveliers to create artwork for album covers and posters for this amazing electronic band form Warsaw Poland. I work closely with Michal Nowinski who provides me with great photos which are starting point of every project we do together for The Loveliers. More to come...

Just started working on the layout for my web page. It's been a while and I think it's about the time to come up with something...
more minimal.
